Polyglicolic Acid

Synthetic,absorbable,multifilament braided suture,in a violet color or undyed.

Made of polyglycolic acid with polycaprolactone and calcium stearate coating..

The tisssue reactivity in microscope form is minimal.

Absorption occurs  through progressive hygrolytic action; completed between 60 and 90 days.

The material retains approximately 70% if its tensile strength by the end of two weeks,and 50% by the third week.

Frequently used in tissue coaptation ties and ophthalmic prodecures.
